These Mexican Fire Opal and sterling silver leaf earrings were handcrafted by Leon Nussbaum, our London silversmith, of pure British sterling silver. According to history, Mexican Opals were used by the Aztecs to adorn ornamental and ceremonial pieces. The secret combination of silica spheres within the opal creates a play of sparking light flashes, similar to flames from a fire, that will flicker with every movement of the wearer. Each earring measures 1.5 inches long, with wires. Handcrafted for Uno Alla Volta from the heart and hands of the artisans.

Prettier than picture

These earrings are a richer color than pictured. The size is perfect not too large and not too small. I first thought I’d wear these in the Fall, but I’ve decided I can wear them all year long.

Absolutely stunning earrings. Colors are fantastic. Design and the way they hang on the ear is perfect. The first pair came with one of the stones missing. A call to UnaAllaVolta and they replaced immediately. Excellent customer service. Very pleased.
