In a third-generation workshop in Verona, Italy, Amedeo and his two sons, Valentino and Roberto, transforma an ordinary wine glass into a shimmering masterpiece, complete with hand-gilded hearts. After applying a stucco hearts design to the glass, a layer of color and gold leaf is added by hand. Once completely dry, each is hand polished to a gleaming luster, with no two exactly alike. Each wine glass is 8.5 inches tall and holds 20 ounces. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the delicate design.
