This piece, exclusive to Uno Alla Volta, is inspired by Miriam's calico cat, Trix, who sits beside Miriam in her workshop in Colorado and keeps her company as she handcuts each piece from recycled sheet copper, hammers it into shape, and uses a technique called Flame Painted copper; torching the copper to bring out the natural, heat induced oxide colors.
