We received these as a gift. I was surprised by the cost. But I have remained not just awed by these glasses, which we have used for 2 years, but I find these life enhancing. Really. These bring me joy. But, get this, they are sturdy too. I recall the day my daughter knocked an empty one off our table onto our concrete floor--that's right, concrete. I lunged for it, but it hit the ground--but then (to my surprise) it bounced off the ground. I lunged again, but missed (late start--expected it was going to shatter on impact), and it bounced a second time. This time I caught it. Can't imagine how it did not break. The die pigment must provide it strength. Anyway, if you are worried these will break, don't. Sure, they could. But they are stronger than any other glasses we have. And, they are dishwasher safe. The die is inside the glass. Our hard water removes designs from all glasses, so we have to wash any we want to last by hand. But not these. Two years of dishwashing, and they are as bright as ever. Really amazing glasses. So now I'm ordering multiple sets to give others as gifts.
