This sweet heart mug was skillfully handcrafted by JoAnn of the Poconos. During a mid-life transition, she decided to leave her high-stress corporate job and follow a lifelong curiosity for pottery. Her risk paid off, as she soon discovered her talent for creating colorful, whimsical stoneware. She throws each mug on a pottery wheel, adds hand-cut details and a handle, and then fires, glazes, and fires each one again. No two mugs are exactly alike. Handcrafted exclusively for Uno Alla Volta, from the heart and hands of the artisan. Dimensions- approximately 5 inches tall, holds 14 ounces. Microwave and dishwasher safe.

Nearly every day you will find JoAnn sitting at the potter’s wheel in her Pocono Mountain studio, her mind and hands spinning new designs to delight us. She shapes each vessel on her wheel before hand-forming each smile-inducing embellishment. Each is high-fired, dipped in specially formulated glazes, and fired again to attain the deep, rich colors.

Fabulous Buy

I love these mugs. I love them so much I have 2, and I'm considering giving them as gifts. They are well-made, attractive, and a nice weight. Some even have a nice surprise inside the mug - a small figure on the bottom that matches the theme of the mug. Highly recommend them.

2 JoAnn heart mugs

These mugs are unique and beautiful. My favorite feature is the red ceramic heart at the bottom of the mug on the inside. Although they are a little heavier than a traditional mug, I find they are totally manageable and I like its larger capacity.
