Each bamboo bowl is made by hand, a craft that has been a tradition in Vietnam for hundreds of years. Designed with bamboo rods that are cut, quartered, and soaked in water for months at a time. Once malleable, bamboo is cut into thin strips, placed in a shaping mold and covered in a rice flour. Each bowl is sanded, polished, painted, then lacquer sealed in a bright blue. Lightweight, sustainable and food safe. Not suited for dishwasher or microwave use. Hand wash only. Approx. 12'' dia.

Beautiful bamboo bowl in lapis blue

The blue outside color of this featherlight bamboo bowl is stunning. It is a perfect size bowl for a salad for 4, a perfect serving bowl to line with s crisp linen napkin to fill with hunks of crusty bread, breadsticks, flatbread or crackers. Be sure to damp wipe it out after using and make certain it’s perfectly dry before storing. Definitely keep it away from heat or intemse sunlight to prevent fading and you’ll enjoy it for a long time.
