Miriam is a full-time RV traveler from Colorado who draws inspiration for her whimsical home decor from the wildlife she sees on the road. Each copper piece is colored using nothing but a torch, a technique called Flame Painted Copper. It entails different degrees of heat giving her the ability to produce different hues of color. No two are exactly alike. Handcrafted exclusively for Uno Alla Volta, from the heart and hands of the artisan. Dimensions - Approx. 5'' x 4''.

Missing color shades

The photos both in catalog -and online depict hummingbirds with varying beautiful colors; however mine has only a bronze shade throughout. While I understand these are individually created without the highlights the piece is not as striking.

I have been ordering treasurers from Uno Alla Volta or several years and have always been more than happy with my purchases. The copper hummingbird s in a class by itself! It's absolutely exquisite. I had picked a place in my house to hang it but, when it arrived, I had several different places to put it. I hope the artist will make more in different poses so I can have MORE!!!!
