In his Castello studio, just a short walk from Venice's famed St. Mark's Square, our friend Giulio continues the lampwork tradition of his grandmother. Each of the beads in this exquisite torsade are handcrafted one at a time over a small flame, from the pastel rainbow colored seed beads to the large silver foiled beads. Approx. 22.5'' long. Limited edition of 50.

Meet The Artisan - Giulio

One of the very first artisans to join the Uno Alla Volta family back at our inception in 2002, Giulio keeps the lampworking traditions of Venice alive. He was taught these ancient artisanal skills by his nonna, or grandmother, and sometimes creates pieces with beads she handcrafted decades ago, celebrating her life and legacy in all he does.
