Each bamboo bowl is made by hand, a craft that has been a tradition in Vietnam for hundreds of years. Designed with bamboo rods that are cut, quartered, and soaked in water for months at a time. Once malleable, bamboo is cut into thin strips, placed in a shaping mold and covered in a rice flour. Each bowl is sanded, polished, painted, then lacquer sealed in a bright blue. Lightweight, sustainable and food safe. Not suited for dishwasher or microwave use. Hand wash only. Approx. 12'' dia.
